The program was borne as a result of poor school readiness in predominantly low-income populations. | | My child is three, but I cannot enroll him/her into an Abbott Program, why? The Abbott Program requires that a child live in the district in which the child will be attending school, and the child must be three or four years old by October 1st of the school year in which they are enrolling. For example for the 2008-2009 school year which begins September 8, 2008---a child must be three on or before October 1, 2008 to enter the program. Back to top

| | How soon can i register? Is there a waiting list? We accept applications all year-round. Open registration for the following school year is usually done in late February, early March, with familial relatives given first priority. We keep a 'correspondence list' for parents who express their desire to enroll their children in our preschool. However we encourage parents to enroll their child in another school until such time as a spot becomes available. Back to top
